Celebrating this very unique Easter at home
This weekend is not like any other. It is a unique opportunity to make some long lasting memories of the time when the world slowed down and we spent quality time with one another.
It’s true, Easter is going to look a little different this year but it can still be filled with all the things we love about it - lots of family time, and plenty of delicious food and chocolate.
So keep reading to find inspiration on how to make this weekend egg-stra special:

Stock up on Hot Cross Buns
Easter wouldn’t be the same without copious amounts of toasted hot cross buns topped with loads of butter. For the finest and tastiest buns, you’ll find them at Raisin’ Bakery
in Shenton Park or Chez Jean-Claude Patisserie
on the top of Rokeby Road, Subiaco. We havent forgotten those with gluten allergies, make your way to Strange Grains Gluten Free Bakery
, they have buns just for you.
Enjoy a backyard Easter picnic
Spend Easter Sunday soaking up the sun and digging into a delicious picnic basket filled with delicious goodies picked up in Subi. Subiaco is blessed with a smorgasbord of deli’s and providores with the finest ingredients for the ultimate picnic at home. For a list of gourmet basket fillers and where to find them, check out this blog
Plan an Easter Camp out
Better yet, turn your backyard picnic into a weekend camp out. While we are limited to our homes this weekend, no one said we couldn’t enjoy the great outdoors of our own homes. Pitch the tent, grab the blankets and settle in for some ghost stories, it's going to be a great weekend!
This grand idea was created by an outdoor education teacher in NSW, who set up the Backyard Campsite Facebook group
to encourage Australian’s to keep our love for camping alive this Easter.
Dress up your Easter dinner with gourmet takeaway
Cooking doesn’t need to be our only option this weekend. We can still enjoy delicious food from our favourite Subiaco restaurants at home. Why not build a customised Easter menu from a variety of restaurants in Subiaco? How about some French parfait and arancini to start? Then lamb chops meze and wood-fired pizza for mains? And for dessert, grab some Turkish doughnuts and a gelato tub. The options are endless. Get inspired with our gourmet-to-go restaurant list.
