Merry & Bright Subiaco will switch on all the Christmas decorations, including a 13m Christmas tree! As the sun sets, we will officially turn on the Christmas lights in Subiaco with special guest Santa and his elves!

The Light Show

Be prepared to be truly mesmerised. We’ve got an amazing interactive light projection that’s not to be missed! A highlight of the event, our light projection will be a true showstopper. Watch as the iconic mural ‘Kid Koala Playing God and Kingaroo’ created by Spanish artist Okuda San Miguel, comes to life in a captivating light projection. The light show has been created by award-winning projection artist, Roly Skender. Skender is reputed for his creative displays, stunning audiences with his work. Our light show will shine waves of light and colour, animating the huge mural that forms the background of the event in Forrest Square Car Park.

One of the best things about Merry & Bright Subiaco will be the live entertainment! Something for the Kids: Activities & Workshops

Don’t worry parents - the kids will be entertained too. We haven’t forgotten the younger ones! We’ve organised an array of activities and workshops to get the little ones into the Christmas spirit. We’re sure they’ll be excited for 'Boxopolis Christmas', a cardboard arts activity with a Greek Christmas theme. People of all ages can join in with this hands-on activity to craft their own Christmas-inspired tree using a range of materials provided and share in a Greek Christmas tradition. There will also be other activities for the children including gingerbread decorating, arts and crafts workshops and even a storytime session with Santa.
