From 11 to 13 April 2023, the Subiaco Arts Centre Gallery will be transformed into a space adventure where kids can explore the possibility of life on Mars. With three main themes, the camp is designed to ignite your child’s creative and scientific imagination through engaging activities that encourage creative problem-solving, engineering construction challenges, and robotics.
The first theme, “Getting to Mars,” will focus on rocket making, and each child will have the chance to create their own rocket to take home. The second theme, “Exploring Mars,” will involve building and operating a mini Mars rover robot. The children will be able to test their robots on a set and participate in NASA rover challenges.
The final theme, “Surviving on Mars,” is all about building a Martian colony and completing the Mars survival challenge. Kids will be tasked with designing and building a habitat and participating in astronaut training challenges to simulate what it would be like to survive on the red planet.
