Subiaco was submerged in spectacular floral beauty for the Mother’s Day weekend once again this year.
The thousands of visitors (parents, children and four-legged friends alike) can agree – the fifth and largest iteration of Subi Blooms was a resounding success!
With 14 different original installations scattered down Rokeby Road and Hay Street, there is no question that Perth’s best florists rose to the challenge of showering Subiaco with an explosion of colour and beauty.
Freakhaus, Maple & Wren, The Flowergirl Perth, Sir Botanical, Hannah Etherington Flowers, Edie & Ivy, Signature Floral Design, Bloom Bby, Bohemian Flowers, Sonny & Willow, Flower Nation, Cottage Garden and POP Floral Studio can all be extremely proud of their breathtaking floral artworks.
Following a buzzing weekend of activity, all too soon it was time to say farewell to the floral wonderland for another year – but no petal was wasted!
All usable flowers from the installations were repurposed into unique, handcrafted bouquets. Subiaco Deputy Mayor Stephanie Stroud, along with City of Subiaco staff, made a special visit to King Edward Memorial Hospital to donate these gorgeous blooms to staff and new mums, bringing a little extra pop of brightness into their day.
The joy was truly blossoming all around.
