Subiaco Library & Museum • Friday 9 May – Sunday 11 May • 6 – 9pm • Free
As night falls over Subi Blooms x Gather, the Subiaco Library and Museum will transform into breathtaking canvases of light and storytelling. This year’s projections will weave together historical photographs of old Subiaco, delicate floral imagery, and the stunning work of Whadjuk, Nyikina, Minang, and Ballardong artist Dana Garlett.
By day, visitors can experience Yorga – meaning ‘woman’ – a striking floral installation by Dana in collaboration with florists Edie and Ivy and Euka Floral Design. Created exclusively with Australian native flora, Yorga is a powerful tribute to the strength, resilience, and interconnectedness of women, expressed through a fusion of Indigenous artistry and botanical design.
By night, the Library and Museum’s façades will come alive with a mesmerising projection display, blending past and present in a celebration of history, nature, and creativity. Whether visiting during the day or experiencing the projections after dark, this space will be a highlight of the festival, offering a moment of reflection, beauty, and connection.
Witness the preview from 6 -9pm on Wednesday 7 May, or come by during the festival from Friday 9 May to Sunday 11 May.
This event is part of the Subi Blooms x Gather 2025 program.
