Subiaco Arts Centre • Saturday 21 September • 7.30pm
Karen Knowles presents Songs & Stories of Australia — a personal and joyous celebration of Australian music that brings people together.
This enchanting performance features timeless classics cherished artists such as Judith Durham, Olivia Newton-John, and Archie Roach. Karen will deliver unforgettable renditions of hits like ‘I Honestly Love You’, ‘Let Me Be There’, ‘I’ll Never Find Another You’, ‘Morningtown Ride’, ‘Carnival Is Over’, ‘Under the Milky Way Tonight’, Archie Roach’s ‘Native Born’ and ‘One Song’, as well as her own heartfelt song ‘Belong’.
Profoundly inspired by Archie Roach’s expression of connection to country and songs from her travels, Karen will also present ‘I Am Australian’ — a song she has passionately performed at national events since the 1990s as part of her unswerving commitment to reconciliation.
Songs & Stories of Australia offers a heartfelt and emotional opportunity to come together, celebrating the power of people, songs, and stories that shape our lives and remind us of what truly matters.
