If you’re looking to do the same, make sure you check out the following list of brilliant brunch spots in Subi.

1982 Food & Coffee

If you’re looking to splash out and enjoy a decadent morning meal, 1982’s all day menu features treats like a Morning Burger of fried egg with pulled pork, bacon and avocado, Buttermilk Hotcakes served with Pistachio fairy floss, strawberry and banana custard or opt for something a little more traditional with their Beef Brisket Benedict. They also have a selection of left-of-centre dishes with an Asian twist such as Kimchi Fried Rice with Pork Katsu or Cheesy Omelette & Black Sesame.

Architect and Heroes

Architect and Heroes is an intimate and vibrant café in Subi centre. Located on good old Rokeby, this authentically designed space offers a contemporary outlook, great coffee and mouth-watering bits.Their desserts are the sort that haunt your sweet tooth! The weather is getting warmer (sorta). Either way, we cannot get enough of this café’s delicious Bircher goodness, featuring chia seeds, fruit,mix seeds, nuts and yoghurt. We add Architects and Heroes to our list for ambience and a 10/10 menu!

Boucla

We add Boucla to our list for its ample charm and booming character. This Mediterranean inspired cafe serves coffee, breakfast, lunch and house-baked cakes amid stellar artwork and unique tapestries. Boucla opened its doors nearly 20 years ago, by a family with a Greek heritage. This was the premise of the Mediterranean and Greek themed menu. The current owner, Nikki Grey, continues the tradition, expanding on the menu and paying homage to the original owners’ culture! Find these guys at the top end of Rokeby Road in Subiaco.

Mimosa

With an emphasis on locally sourced and high-quality produce, Mimosa are brunch specialists who strive to hit the mark on delicious food and amazing service every visit. These guys are looking to excite your eyes and taste buds seven days a week from divine dishes like confit salmon eggs benedict and brunch gnocchi (!). They’ve recently begun offering a bottomless brunch that has to be experienced, to be believed, with two hours of unlimited boozy beverages to accompany some fantastic dishes – make sure to book in today!

Cafe Cafe

A favourite among locals, Cafe Cafe is open 7 days a week until 5pm; so whether you need brekky, lunch or an early dinner, the Cafe Cafe team have you covered. Popular dishes on the menu include their Canadian pancakes, chilli and mushroom scrambled eggs, smashed avo, omelettes, french toast, nourish bowl, their famous drunken chicken, and Thai green curry. They also have a large assortment of toasties, wraps, burgers and bakery goods.

Bar Amelie

Bar Amelie offers an exciting weekend brunch that is not to be missed. Every Saturday and Sunday from 9.30am, you can indulge in a delicious brunch spread at this trendy wine bar in Subiaco. What’s more, Bar Amelie offers a 90-minute drinks package of mimosas, spritzes, and Prosecco to accompany your meal, making it the perfect weekend treat. The brunch menu features big and bold breakfast flavours, as well as tapas-style plates designed for sharing. Some of the mouth-watering dishes on offer include sautéed duck fat potatoes with chorizo, spinach, sugo, truffle pecorino on charred sourdough, and baked harissa pumpkin topped with grilled haloumi and honey drizzle.

Accent Café

From the magical back garden to its light-filled interior adorned with a check list of European beauty, Accent Cafe is positively beaming. Open Monday to Saturday for breakfast, menu highlights include the quesadillas, the brioche French toast with mascarpone and of course, the insta-worthy, vegan meringue. Also, a number of staff speak Spanish, Italian or French, if you’re brave enough to test your skills.

The Little Pantry

Lazy Sundays need to feature a good cup of coffee and an even better menu. It’s no secret that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so do it right with The Little Pantry’s well curated menu that clearly has their chef’s signatures every step of the way. We cannot get enough of their Truffle Scrambled Eggs! Served on ciabatta toast with dressed gem lettuce, pair it with a cup of coffee and you’ll be all good to go.
