Spirit of Little Things Wins Prestigious Gold Medal

A hidden gem in suburban Subiaco has achieved global recognition with a very impressive award.

Spirit of Little Things have taken home a prestigious gold medal at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition with their signature Australian Botanical Gin.

With over 5,500 entries from across the globe, this annual competition is not only considered the largest and longest-running spirits competition in the world, but also the most influential. A carefully selected panel of the most respected, experienced experts in the industry gathered to judge this year’s entries – and this Subiaco local stood out.

A carefully selected amalgam of hand-picked native thyme, strawberry gum and lemon myrtle could briefly describe the unique and aromatic profile of this signature gin. With a distinctive flavour and smooth subtlety, this award-winning spirit is best appreciated neat, or when thoughtfully mixed.

Driven by a passion for producing gins that are quintessentially Australian, Spirit of Little Things aims to capture the essence of this sunburnt country. Crafting a core range of gin using Australian native botanicals as a foundation, head distiller Tom Martin carries out his vision “to create gins with a very Australian identity.”

Stroll down Railway Road and stop by Spirit of Little Things to share some high-quality drinks and food with friends and family – and sample their award-winner for yourself.
