Pack your bags and dress for the Med – your Southern European escape is calling.
Prepare to be transported to Europe this Autumn without even leaving Subiaco. From 14 to 23 March, Subi Spritz 2025 is bringing ten days and nights of la dolce vita straight to your doorstep.
Taking over the streets with more than 25 unmissable events, the festival will bring to life the vibrant, colourful culture of Southern Europe with sights, sounds, sensations and tastes. If you’re looking to spice up your life with foodie feasts, elegant wines and classic aperitifs, then Subiaco’s the place to be this March.
Throughout Subi Spritz, every day is an opportunity to embrace the Italian tradition of aperitivo with the Aperitivo Trail. Aperol has teamed up with several of Subi’s top bars to showcase a collection of specially crafted aperitivo cocktails, with creations from Lums, Bark, Subiaco Hotel, Cherubino City Cellar, Bar Amelie, Juanita’s and more. These creative twists on the classic pre-dinner ritual make for the perfect after work drink – or weekend bar crawl. Stay tuned for the full list of venues to be announced.
On the weekends, you can’t miss our brand new pop-up Spritz Bar The Kiosk, featuring Aperol, Campari and Chillo Collective Limoncello spritzes. Nestled in the urban oasis of Forrest Walk, the bar also features a selection of Howard Park wines, delicious snacks from Nosh Gourmet Gifts and a live DJ spinning Italo beats. There will even be an additional Leeuwin Coast Albany Rock Oyster Bar popping up for the launch event on Friday 14 March – you can’t miss it. Catch the cart on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings throughout the festival.
If that’s not enough to make you thirsty, there’s plenty more drink-forward events on the program to please your palate. Secret sommeliers will be in their element at Timelines of Terroir, an exclusive masterclass with Marchand & Burch exploring the nuances of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. For something more fast-paced, thrill-seekers will love comparing Australian and European wines at the Lums Wine Battle and Italy vs Australia Wine Showdown at Unicorn Bar. Prefer to get your hands dirty? Try the Martini Masterclass and Limoncello Masterclass at Spirit of Little Things to shake things up and get on the tools.
Of course, great drinks also call for great food. Get the best of both worlds at paired dining experiences like the Subi Culinary Crawl, a walking adventure that takes you through four of Subi’s best venues for a progressive meal prepared by the talented chefs at Juanita’s, Bar Amelie, Lums and Commune Wine Store – with a beverage to perfectly complement each dish.
If that’s not enough to get your tastebuds tingling, there’s a mouth-watering event on the program to suit just about every taste. Whether it’s sun-kissed Sicilian flavours at Bark’s Lazy Long Lunch, seafood and rosé at Saint-Tropez Sunday, or a gluten-free feast at Italian Sundowner feat. The Gluten Free Lab., the options are endless. Of course, returning foodie favourites Pasta Lane and the Conti Roll Contest are not to be missed.
But wait, there’s more! For a vibrant dose of culture, join Oh Hey WA on the Subi Spritz Street Art Tour to explore Subi’s laneways like never before, kicking off with a refreshing spritz at The Kiosk or Vino Alfresco. If automotive artistry is more your speed, step back in time with Classic Cars & Coffee to admire over 100 European-style vintage cars.
