And at Subi Spritz, many of them come free! Our favourite food and wine festival is dedicated to bringing you the experience of Euro summer, without the flights or expensive price tag. For those on a budget, or who have perhaps left their ticket purchasing to the last minute, there are plenty of free events on the program to tickle your fancy. From a pop-up aperitivo bar to an outdoor cinema under the stars, these are all the best experiences you can enjoy without paying an entry fee.
The Kiosk
14, 15, 20, 21 & 22 March
Pre-dinner drinks are always a good idea. Join us on the sunny deck of Forrest Walk for a pop-up aperitivo bar slinging expertly crafted cocktails (including all your fave Spritz variants), Howard Park wines, delicious snacks from Nosh Gourmet and live DJ beats. If you’re a seafood fiend, you’ll also love the limited edition Leeuwin Coast Albany Rock Oyster Bar on 15, 20 and 22 March. Don’t forget to grab a copy of the Subi Spritz program whilst you’re there!
Outdoor Cinema at Subi Night Market
15 March
A moonlit movie screening with your amore? What could be more romantic? Start your evening by sampling the many mouth-watering cuisines Subi Night Market has to offer (think freshly tossed gnocchi, oozy raclette and stacked acai bowls for dessert) and find a spot on the grass for cinema under the stars. The big screen will be playing Summer 1993 in collaboration with the Spanish Film Festival, a heart-warming film about childhood, family and finding your place in the world.
Pop Up Cellar Doors in the City
15, 19, 21, 22 March
Swirl, sniff and taste at our new urban cellar door experience! Throughout the festival, you’ll have the chance to sample some of the finest Italian wine WA has to offer, right here in Subi. Sip on Howard Park at Juanita’s, enjoy Claret & Co at the Unicorn Bar, and try a special Italian tasting at Cherubino City Cellar. Classic Cars & Coffee
16 March
Cruise through the weekend at the ultimate event for classic car and vintage lovers! The lush expanse of Market Square Park will play host to over 100 European-style vintage cars in a spectacular display of automotive artistry. Grab a coffee and some takeaway breaky from one of Subi’s best brunch spots or hit up the coffee van on site, and explore the timeless elegance of European design.
Found Sunday Session
16 March
Subi’s newest brewery FOUND have nailed the Sunday sesh model, and this special Subi Spritz edition is no different. They’ve got freshly shucked Leeuwin Coast Albany Rock Oysters at $2 a pop (what a steal!), $10 beers, a full Spritz menu and a killer lineup of Italian wines that’ll make you feel like you’re on the Amalfi Coast. Grab your drink of choice along with some tasty bar snacks and soak up the DJ tunes all afternoon long.
Vino Alfresco Closing Party
23 March
We’re closing out Subi Spritz in style with an epic outdoor sundowner at Market Square Park! A selection of our Conti Roll Contest favourites will be up for grabs, plus bites from the Burrata Bar, Fire Truck Pizzeria, Gnocchi Gnocchi Boys, Leeuwin Coast Albany Rock Oysters – and of course, Cono Gelato for dessert. For the adults, there’s an Aperol Spritz bar and pop-up Euro wine tastings. For the kids, go wild with face painting and games from the Freedom Fairies. This celebration is one the whole familia will love!
Aperitivo Trail with Aperol Spritz

Our crowd-favourite aperitivo experience offers up an expansive selection of Southern European cocktails and dishes that you can indulge in at your own pace, on your own budget. There’s free daily wine tastings at Commune Wine Store from Tuesday to Sunday, drink specials starting at $12, snacks from $6 and plenty of affordable set menu options that make multi-course dining so much more affordable.
