This new wine bar has been the talk of the town! Lums has already become a utopia for some after they finish at work. With light bites to snack on (and not ruin dinner!) all dishes will compliment your chosen glass of vino. They can cater to a quiet glass after work or a blow-out work do! The warm decor colours are always great for insta pic backgrounds.
Bark
Bark is full of heart and community. The tiny but vibrant place is always full of life and music. People nip in there for their morning coffees. Some enjoy stopping by there for an afternoon meeting. And everyone relishes grabbing after-work drinks at Bark! They beautifully pay homage to all things WA.
Little Things Gin
For those whose preferred spirit is gin, Subi has you covered! Little Things Gin is owned by gin lovers who love making hand-crafted Australian gin. This urban distillery is a great place to grab some much-needed after-work cocktails, with a drinks list consisting on classic gins, fruity and refreshing gins, spicy and complex gins. And if you’re looking for an after-work hobby, they have classes on the gin distilling process!
Bar Amelie
Inspired by the classic French movie Amelie, welcome to Bar Amelie, where wine and tapas are always available after work. This is a great place to grab a seat and have celebratory work drinks and treats. The aim of the restaurant is to bring joy and connection, which is probably why the atmosphere is always happy inside. Bar Amelie offers a carefully curated selection of wines from around the world with a range of styles and grape varieties to suit all tastes and preferences, plus speciality cocktails, craft beers and premium spirits.
Bar Loiter
The sister and neighbour to well-loved Dilly Dally restaurant, Bar Loiter has the best vibes for a weeknight evening out. The indie beers are to die for, and you can order anything from Dilly Dally’s menu. There’s always a new guest tap to check out, so why not make that an after-work tradition?
Golden West Brewing Co.
It is Friday afternoon, and with each tick that goes by on the clock, you are getting increasingly excited to let off some end-of-the-week steam. Plan to rush to the Golden West Brewing Co. with the work buds! The microbrewery offers a wide range of beers, including West Coast Pale Ale, Subi Session IPA, Subi Largerm Beach House IPDA, Golden Ale, Dark Lager and Belgian Wit.
Storehouse
Storehouse is a relaxing rooftop bar and restaurant. It’s a great place to visit after a stressful day at the office, to have a cool glass of wine and relax your muscles. They have a number of shared open areas to choose from, according to your mood. Also, a splendid place to meet for a work dinner.
The Unicorn Bar
The Unicorn Bar has a relaxing yet sophisticated atmosphere that will surely set the scene for your after-work cool-off. It’s tucked away from the noise and carries an ambience that could almost mirror your own living room. It’s a great place to make your regular watering hole.
Subiaco Hotel
One of Perth’s most iconic pubs happens to be our beloved Subi Hotel. It’s been a favourite of locals since 1897! It’s Subiaco’s original watering hole. They do great pub food if you’re in the mood to indulge in some pub faves at the end of the day.
Juanita’s
This idiosyncratic wine bar is close to the hearts of many people. They have an impressive selection of upmarket bar food – think house-made terrines, salumi, corned-beef toasties and melt-in-your-mouth duck liver parfait. And of course all your fave drinks! Juanita’s is the perfect location if you’re in the mood for something a little more stylish when knock-off time rolls around.
Cherubino City Cellar
Renowned for its vast selection of delicious red, white and sparkling wines, this Subiaco mainstay offers a more sophisticated after-work experience. You can nosh on some delicious cheese and antipasto while enjoying a much-deserved Margaret River vintage after a long day and take home a bottle to enjoy with dinner.
Refuge Small Bar
Prefer your bars small, your atmosphere intimate, and your drinks crafty? Nestled right next to the train station, Refuge Small Bar brings a bit of hipster small bar cool into the heart of Subi. Choose from a wine, cocktail or one of the craft beers on tap and peruse their great bar food menu if you’re feeling a bit peckish.
Village Bar
Open all day, every day, the Village Bar will always be there for you when you need a place to meet a coffee, meal or a drink or two. It’s a great place to break the ice with new colleagues. They also have a good roster of weeknight specials, so there’s plenty of great value on offer to keep you, and the work crowd entertained, fed and watered.
Lady of Ro
Drink and dine under the street lights of Subiaco. This Greek-inspired rustic restaurant is a great place to unwind after a shitty day at work. The atmosphere of Lady of Ro will slowly get your mood back to normal as you sip on a drink with a work pal and vent out what went wrong that day. It’s also BYO, which always helps to save some dollars during a mid-week work crisis!
