Subi’s Most Beautiful Public Parks

Mueller Park

Crossed by paths lined with imposing Norfolk Pines, Mueller Park is definitely one of Subi’s most easily identifiable parks. Wide open grassed areas perfect for picnics are complemented by a fantastic children’s playground, public toilets, picnic tables and a shaded bbq area, so this park has got everything covered for all of your alfresco entertainment needs.

Why have lunch in the office when you can enjoy it under the shade of a tree by a beautiful lake? Watching the water birds (including some resident Black Swans) paddle around is a great way of taking one’s mind off your busy schedule for a while. It’s also within easy walking distance of the train station.

Lake Jualbup

Speaking of waterbirds, there are few better places to observe them than the wetland area of Lake Jualbup. Located in Shenton Park, this peaceful lakeside sanctuary is home to a wide array of native fauna and flora. There’s also a gazebo and a great children’s playground, so the kids can burn off some extra energy while the adults relax with a good book or indulge in a bit of bird watching.

Rankin Gardens

Located at the corner of Rokeby and Hamersley Road, Rankin Gardens is a little slice of green loveliness in downtown Subi. Notable for the Fallen Soldiers Memorial (a fantastic red brick neoclassical clock tower/war memorial), it’s the perfect place to perch on park bench amongst the trees and enjoy a few minutes of peace and quiet.

Theatre Gardens

When it comes to great parks in Subi, Theatre Gardens pretty much has everything that we could possibly wantt. This includes public toilets, a BBQ area, sculptures, open green spaces, water fountains, shaded picnic tables, a sensational wooden playground area and plenty of open green spaces to spread the picnic blankets out on. Need we say more?
