The Best Brunch Spots in Subi to Start Your Day Right

Is there anything better than starting off the day with a really good brunch? When you’re living a busy modern lifestyle, the first meal of the day is often the first thing that gets sacrificed. That’s why we’re big fans of, whenever possible, finding some time to slow down and really enjoy a great brunch. If you’re looking to do the same, make sure you check out the following list of brilliant brunch spots in Subi.

Obi Coffee

For a light brunch with a side of fab coffee, look no further than Obi’s famous fresh food cabinet with all the sweet and savoury brunch snacks your heart could desire. Our tip? Custom-make your own bagel delight with the sun-dried tomato cream cheese (it’s as good as it sounds!) topped with avocado…and if you’re feeling a bit extra, grilled halloumi. Finished with the perfect drizzle of olive oil, sea salt and micro-herbs, this creation will have you coming back for more.

La Condesa

A little bit of a surprise entry perhaps, but an absolutely worthy one none-the-less. When La Condesa started doing brunch on  weekends, we were thrilled! Think huevos rancheros, brekkie burritos and acai bowls with a side of brunch cocktails and you’re starting your weekend right in Subiaco. Did we mention they also do waffles? Sweet (from ice-cream to fruit, chocolate and maple syrup), savoury (fried chicken and bacon, obviously) and…’The Lot’, which is exactly as it sounds; all of the above served together for one magnificent loaded brunch fit for the ‘gram. If ‘The Lot’ isn’t enough, level up your brunch experience with 1.5 hours of bottomless mimosas or brunch cocktails.

1982 Food & Coffee

1982 has been a mainstay on Rokeby Road since 2018, and for good reason! Their extensive all-day menu features a wide array of gourmet treats like French toast loaded with seasonal fruits, Nutella and berry sauce, poke bowls packed with all the freshest yummies, chilli crab scrambled eggs and Wagyu steak sandwiches topped with chimichurri, American cheese and garlic aioli. What’s not to love? They’ve also just expanded their menu even further with the launch of a new selection of dishes, including a delicious roast pumpkin balsamic salad, Belgian waffles, sticky devil wings and more. Run, don’t walk.

Roma Republic Subiaco

Making themselves right at home at the old Lot Six Zero site on the corner of Station and Hood Streets in Subiaco, Roma Republic has been tantalising our taste buds since 2023 with their perfectly executed all-day brunch menu. If we had to pick, it would be the flavourful pulled pork quesadillas or the Roma Granola (you can see why below)…but it takes a lot of self-control to walk past the cabinet filled to the brim with sweet and savoury bites.

Little Paris Creperie

Ahh, the versatile French breakfast staple! You cannot go past Little Paris Creperie when you’re craving a taste of Europe, who offer all the toppings your heart could desire. Biscoff, white chocolate, oreo cookies, Nutella, marshmallows, fruit…hungry yet? Don’t worry – the savoury fans are well and truly catered for too. Plus, their crepes are gluten free, which is a bonus for our coeliac friends who often miss out on these decadent treats. Dig in.

Boucla

Mediterranean-inspired cafe Boucla is on our list for its ample charm and booming character. Here you can fuel up seven days a week with coffee, breakfast, lunch and cakes baked in-house, amid stellar artwork and unique tapestries. Boucla was opened 20 years ago by a family from a Greek island near the coast of Turkey, which you’ll find nods to throughout the menu. The current owner, Nil Thapaliya, continues the tradition, expanding on the menu and paying homage to the original owners’ culture! Find these guys at the top end of Rokeby Road in Subiaco.

Mimosa

Originally started by the same team behind Tiisch, Perth’s OG bottomless brunch venue, Mimosa’s bottomless brunch carries on that legacy in style. With a passion for flavour, presentation and an emphasis on locally sourced and high-quality produce, Mimosa are there to satisfy all your brunch (and lunch) cravings. Trust us, the brunch gnocchi is a winner in shakshuka ragu, topped with the finest quality ingredients. If you’re feeling something even more hearty though, look no further than the braised beef cheek – chef’s kiss! Grab one main course and a cocktail for only $38.90 or jump on the bottomless train with 2 hours of free flowing beverages for $65pp.

Storehouse Restaurant and Bar

Sitting pretty atop the Vibe Hotel Subiaco, Storehouse has arguably the best views in Subi. With a seasonal menu and breakfast serving hot and fresh Monday to Sunday, this is one brunch favourite you can’t go past. The menu features all your must-have brekkie staples, from eggs benedict to avo smash, granola and of course their very own take on the big breakfast with chorizo, bacon, hash browns, smoked tomato, mushrooms, eggs, spinach and sourdough. Consider ourselves tempted! If you’re a visual person, we recommend checking out their Instagram to help make your choice…

The Little Pantry

Lazy Sundays need to feature a good cup of coffee and an even better menu. It’s no secret that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so do it right with The Little Pantry’s well curated menu that clearly has their chef’s expert touch, every step of the way. Personally, we can’t get enough of their truffle mushroom on toast and that pumpkin bruschetta! Both served on crunchy ciabatta toast – pair it with a cup of their best caffeine and you’re good to go! The Little Pantry also has plenty of options for those with dietary requirements. For those Sunday’s done right, add The Little Pantry to your list and we will see you there. Pooch pals encouraged.

Sorganic Bakery & Cafe

Look no further than Sorganic Artisan Sourdough Bakers for the most wholesome way to start your day.  Sorganic’s feel-good blend of artisan crafted, in-house baked organic sourdough bread, ethical & sustainable organic specialty coffee and locally sourced food get’s our tick of approval every time! Fuel your body and soul with a Green Bowl (herbed green hummus, roasted pumpkin, asparagus or broccoli, soft boiled eggs & dukkha), their oven roasted pumpkin (chorizo, roasted pepitas, soft boiled eggs, pumpkin wedges, parmesan, dukkha & balsamic glaze)…or choose something from the rest of their fabulous fresh breakfast menu. Best of all, they’re open until 3pm, so you’re free to enjoy a good sleep in without missing out!
