This year’s edition of Subi Spritz is bigger (and better) than ever.
Everyone’s favourite European food and wine festival is right around the corner, ready to transform the streets of Subi into a bustling Mediterranean playground. But with so many delicious events on the program, how do you pick what to go to? Several flagship events are practically household names, like Subiaco Hotel’s Conti Roll Contest (which sells out every year) and the ever-popular Aperitivo Trail with Aperol Spritz, the drink that started it all. We could sing the praises of our returning favourites with the fervour of a lovesick Italian tenor, but with this blog, we’d like to shine the spotlight on some of our brand new trailblazers that are sure to be showstoppers this year.
Here’s the rundown of our top new events in 2025.
The Kiosk
14, 15, 20, 21, 22 March
Get weekend ready with a spritz in one hand and a vino in the other. Our Aperol Spritz Pop-up Kiosk in Forrest Walk is bringing you ice-cold pours, expertly crafted cocktails, wines from Howard Park, delicious snacks from Nosh Gourmet Gifts and a live DJ spinning the beats. Don’t miss the Leeuwin Coast Albany Rock Oyster Bar on 15, 20 and 22 March for freshly shucked oysters!
Subi Spritz Street Art Tour
15, 23 March
Nothing screams “Euro trip” more than art…and walking 10,000+ steps to see all the sights you’ve crammed into your day. Luckily, our street art tour isn’t anywhere near as taxing, but it has all the same spirited vibes. Play tourist in your own city and join Oh Hey WA on a guided walking tour where you’ll marvel at the awe-inspiring scale and artistry of Subi’s murals, finishing up with a refreshing spritz.
Bark’s Lazy Long Lunch
15 March
Embrace il dolce far niente with a lazy Saturday afternoon at BARK, spent eating your way through the sun-kissed flavours of Sicily. This laid-back, three-course feast plates up Mediterranean freshness with a backdrop of catchy Italo disco vibes for the ultimate leisurely lunch. Wash it down with matched wines for an extra $39!
Found Sunday Session
16 March
Subi’s newest brewery is jumping on board the Spritz train and we couldn’t be happier! The FOUND team know how to throw a good Sunday sesh, with their sunny garden terrace and leafy industrial interior, and this one features an Italian-inspired menu complemented by an aperitif selection and carefully curated Italian wine list. Vibe to the DJ beats and down a few drinks!
Classic Cars & Coffee
16 March
Car and vintage lovers, you can’t go wrong with this one. Grab your morning cappuccino from your favourite Subi brewhouse and stroll down to Market Square Park to marvel at a display of 100+ European-style vintage cars. There’s a coffee truck on site to keep you caffeinated, leafy canopies to rest under, and the best part – it’s a free entry event!
Saint-Tropez Sunday
16 March
Don your finest resort wear and indulge in a long lunch celebrating vibrant seafood and the renowned Provençal Rosé, Whispering Angel. La Bastide have perfected the bottomless model with three hours of free-flowing rosé paired with four courses reminiscent of the French Riviera. Enjoy elegant flavours like mussels marinière and salmon confit, with all the essence of a Saint-Tropez summer.
Champagne & Chardy Shindig
16 March
What pairs better than Champagne and Chardonnay? The team at Juanita’s know what’s up, so they’re slinging five exquisite wine tastings each paired with a curated snack to enhance the crisp flavours. Settle into a booth (or soak up the sun al fresco) and enjoy the warm ambience at one of Subi’s classic venues, renowned for their homemade parfaits, terrines and charcuterie.
Amelie European Inspired Afternoon Soirée
16, 22 March
The Euro-inspired Bar Amelie have a rep as one of Perth’s best afternoon tea destinations for a reason – there’s more bubbles than tea on the table. Join them for a sumptuous afternoon soirée featuring a decadent four-course menu (think bright, flavourful bruschetta and melt-in-your-mouth gnocchi) paired with European wines and a glass of Royal Brut on arrival. Pinkies up!
Vibes & Vino: Intuition x Picardy Wine Night
18 March
Subi’s stylish new kitchen & wine bar Intuition is teaming up with Pemberton’s Picardy Winery for the ultimate Mediterranean feast, where the wines star as much as the dishes. Hear from the Picardy wine expert about the selections, enhancing your experience as you dig into five delicious paired courses. There’s a slice of the Med in every mouthful!
Italian Sundowner Feat. The Gluten Free Lab
20 March
Gluten free baddies, we heard you. It’s about time someone put together a carb-lovers feast that won’t hurt your tummy. Join Storehouse and The Gluten Free Lab for an inventive Italian sundowner showcasing delicious canapés crafted from 100% gluten free ingredients, complete with cooking demos, live music and a drink on arrival. Oh, and the best sunset views in Perth.
Martini Masterclass
20 March
Master the art of the Martini, Euro-style! Subi’s award-winning distillery Spirit of Little Things are shaking things up with a cocktail-making experience showcasing creative ways to use spirits in both cocktails and food. Enjoy a drink on arrival, scrumptious grazing platters, martini demonstrations, and make your own take-home jars of gin-infused olives or pickled onions. Yum!
Spritz a la French
21 March
You know that feeling when you’ve just arrived in Europe, dropped your bags off at the hotel, and ventured out for a sunset drink? That’s the vibe Mistelle are capturing with their relaxed afternoon soirée. Be serenaded by a live French band, sip on a spritz of your choice and knock back some freshly shucked oysters as the sun goes down. Don’t miss the French wine list either.
San Sebastián Degustation
22 March
Be transported to Basque Country thanks to Subi’s favourite Spanish-leaning wine bar. Feast your way through six vibrant courses paying homage to the rich culinary traditions of Northern Spain, all made using the finest local Australian ingredients.
