Meet the Acclaimed Floral Artists of Subi Blooms x Gather 2026

We searched night and day for the floral artists who will bring Subi Blooms x Gather to life in 2026.

From a beloved Perth mother-daughter duo to a viral Sydney florist with some seriously iconic dance moves, the program is stacked with some of the biggest and brightest names in Australia’s florist industry. More than 30 artists will be joining forces to transform Subiaco into a living floral fantasy over the Mother’s Day weekend, with a trail of 19 installations waiting to come into the light. Through large-scale installations, indoor displays, public art, festival pop-ups and a glowing nighttime experience, the beauty of nature will be illuminated like never before.

BEYOND THE BLOOMS

Matthew Aberline with The Beautiful and Useful Studio

Known for large-format inflatables, Sydney-based artist Matthew Aberline has built an international reputation for transforming public spaces into dreamlike environments. His public art piece The Light Within empowers imagination through a series of illuminated floral lanterns, where illustrated doorways lead to pockets of wonder and discovery. Find The Light Within at Market Square Park from 17 April to 10 May.

SHOWCASE DISPLAYS

September Studio x Fox & Rabbit Premium Flowers

Viral sensation September Studio and industry powerhouse Fox & Rabbit Premium Flowers are collaborating on an explosive display presented by Development WA and Profresh Flowers. Bursting with vivid tones of molten orange and electric yellow, Solar Flare evokes the energy of a sun in motion – volatile, luminous and alive. Find Solar Flare at the Subiaco Oval Heritage Gates from 8 to 10 May.

Lara Rose Botanical Stylist

One half of Gather: A Floral Community, Lara Rose has taken her earth-conscious approach to floral design as far as Japan, whilst never losing her deep connection to the southwest of WA. Her sun-drenched display Sunburnt Romance invites us to reimagine Australian native flora as the heart of a romantic, cottagecore garden. Find Sunburnt Romance at the corner of Roberts Road & Alvan Street from 8 to 10 May.

Mother & Bride

A mother-daughter floristry duo known for beautifully curated weddings, Mother & Bride are creating a shimmering display presented by Vibe Hotel & Dradgin. Echoing the fleeting magic of a sun-shower, Beneath the Radiant Sky encourages us to ponder the luminous space where rain and radiance coexist. Find Beneath the Radiant Sky at 9 Alvan Street from 8 to 10 May.

Cerina Floral Atelier x Yoshiko Gunning

Event florist Cerina Floral Atelier and visual artist Yoshiko Gunning are joining forces to create a symbolic display presented by Agencia & Dradgin. Combining charred native materials with radiant living flora, Rekindle evokes the cycle of regeneration that occurs after a bushfire. Find Rekindle at 500/502 Hay Street from 8 to 10 May.

Edie & Ivy Flowers x Maple & Wren

Subi Blooms favourites Edie & Ivy Flowers and Maple & Wren are collaborating this year on a hauntingly beautiful display presented by UEM Sunrise. Inspired by the flowing light of the Aurora Borealis, Arctic Flora guides us along a winding path where green, purple and blue florals meet modern, mirrored shapes. Find Arctic Flora at the corner of Rokeby Road & Hay Street from 8 to 10 May.

South Metropolitan Tafe Floristry Students

In a never-before-seen collaboration, South Metropolitan Tafe Floristry Students will be producing a floral showcase demonstrating the power of community. Nestled in Light is a hidden forest where flowers gather and soft light drifts like fireflies at dusk, inviting us to be still for a moment amongst the beauty of nature. Find Nestled in Light at Postal Walk from 8 to 10 May.

FLORAL DISPLAYS

Urban & Wild Co.

Wildly romantic wedding florists Urban & Wild Co are combining their love of texture with suspended, structural forms in a display presented by Perth is OK!. The Garden Between Light explores the poetic lifecycle of flowers within a garden, nurtured and transformed by light. Find The Garden Between Light at the corner of Rokeby & Roberts Roads from 8 to 10 May.

Wild Heart Flowers

Known for combining elegance with enthusiasm, Wild Heart Flowers are bringing a touch of celestial magic to their display presented by Growth Realty. Softly glowing with energy, The Guardian’s Chair represents the meeting place of earth and sky – and what life lies between. Find The Guardian’s Chair at Forrest Walk from 8 to 10 May.

Bloom Store Subi

Subi’s newest local flower shop Bloom Store Subi are bringing all the colours of the rainbow to their display presented by Bar Amelie. Rainbow Lane transforms an everyday passage into a floral rainbow in full bloom, where clusters of colours emerge from the ground, dance up the walls and float overhead. Find Rainbow Lane at Walmsley Lane from 8 to 10 May.

The Flower Girl

Wild and free florist The Flower Girl returns to Subi Blooms for a magical multi-sensory display presented by Ecali Fine Jewellery. Refracting light like the first glow of dawn, Aroma x Aurora combines crystal perfume bottles with fresh blooms to create a glittering garden landscape. Find Aroma x Aurora at 129 Rokeby Road from 8 to 10 May.

The Botanic Edit

Specialising in pot plant hire and sustainable wedding styling, The Botanic Edit are back with a living botanical display presented by Western Suburbs Weekly. Kissed by dappled light, Through the Canopy invites us to walk through a forest of hanging plants where light sustains growth. Find Through the Canopy at 144 Rokeby Road from 8 to 10 May.

Marianna x Lilliflora

Perth-based florist Lilliflora is returning to Subi Blooms with a new display imbued with her signature timeless feel. Capturing the moment when dawn awakens a bloom, The Sun and The Bloom explores the interplay between glow and shadow in the circle of life. Find The Sun and The Bloom at the corner of Rokeby Road & Bagot Road from 8 to 10 May.

Nicky Brennan x Natalie Tonkin

Two artistic forces combine when Nicky Brennan and Natalie Tonkin of the Earthwise community meet to create their display. Inspired by the magic of morning light, First Light captures the peaceful transition between night and dawn, when butterfly wings begin to flutter and birds offer their first chirps. Find First Light at Earthwise, 315 Bagot Road, from 8 to 10 May.

INDOOR DISPLAYS

Gather: A Floral Community

The driving force behind Subi Blooms x Gather, Gather: A Floral Community will have a special indoor display at FOUND. Subiaco. Study of a Golden Hour is an intimate exploration of light at its most fleeting, softening across a landscape just before dusk. Find Study of a Golden Hour inside FOUND. Subiaco at 399 Hay Street from 8 to 10 May.

Debra Hayes Floral

Passionate neighbourhood florists Debra Hayes Floral are capturing the fragility of flowers with an indoor display at The Diamond Collective. Suspended within illuminated wire cloches, each bloom in Where Light Falls is gently held in a structure of light, where time is paused just for a moment. Find Where Light Falls inside The Diamond Collective at 77 Rokeby Road from 8 to 10 May.

Ripe Art

Floral, food and fibre installation artist Ripe Art is bringing a beautifully delicate indoor display to Archela Bridal. Symbolic of unity, Pure Light: Pure Love uses the pureness of white light to enhance the unfiltered radiance of flora. Find Pure Light: Pure Love inside Archela Bridal at 5/108 Rokeby Road from 8 to 10 May.

Daisy & Clover Florals

Bold, colourful wedding florists Daisy & Clover Florals will have a sparkling indoor display at LJ Hooker. The colourful Disco Daydreams will see a mirrored aircraft glide through soft floral clouds, reflecting light in every direction. Find Disco Daydreams inside LJ Hooker at 133 Rokeby Road from 8 to 10 May.

Intention Garden Flowers

Exuberant freelance florist Intention Garden Flowers will have an indoor display at Delisio. Lux Celestia represents a botanical genus known as ‘light of the sky’, flowering when the night is illuminated by aurora. Find Lux Celestia inside Delisio at 133 Rokeby Road from 8 to 10 May.

AT DAWN, AT DUSK

With the support of Lotterywest and Festoon, outdoor displays along the trail will be illuminated after dark. Don’t forget to visit your favourite installations both at day and at night so you can see their beauty truly bloom!
