Award-winning Festival Subi Blooms x Gather Returns in 2026

Award-winning floral festival Subi Blooms x Gather is back in 2026, bringing with it the internet’s favourite florist – September Studio.

It’s no secret that Subi Blooms x Gather attracts some of Australia’s biggest floral artists for its mesmerising takeover of Subiaco’s streets, and this year is no different. Returning in 2026, the award-winning festival promises a new showcase of international floristry talent, large-scale installations and a glowing night-time experience.

Headlining the program is Bryce Heyworth, the founder and creative director of Sydney’s September Studio, whose bold, sculptural floral designs and signature dance videos have captivated more than 1.6 million Instagram followers worldwide.

Heyworth will collaborate with Perth floral studio Fox & Rabbit to create an explosive showcase installation for the festival, which runs from Friday 8 May to Sunday 10 May. Entitled ‘Solar Flare’, this show-stopping display of floral artistry will be joined by 17 other installations blooming throughout the streets of Subiaco.

Presented by the City of Subiaco and See Subiaco in partnership with Gather: A Floral Community, the 2026 edition of Subi Blooms x Gather will unfold under the theme Flora Aurora. Inspired by glowing skies and the lifeforce of light, the concept will transform Subiaco into a radiant floral wonderland – with a brand-new blooms-by-night experience.

Beginning at the Subiaco Oval Heritage Gates, the trail follows a kaleidoscopic journey through the heart of Subiaco and up Rokeby Road to the Subiaco Library and Museum. With the support of Lotterywest and Festoon, installations along the trail will be illuminated after dark, allowing visitors to experience the enchanting atmosphere by day and by night.

A highlight of this luminous landscape is The Light Within, an immersive, inflatable artwork by globally renowned artist Matthew Aberline with The Beautiful and Useful Studio. Previously exhibited in Singapore and Shenzhen, this hypnotic installation features a glowing garden of vibrant floral lanterns, which will be revealed ahead of the festival from 17 April to 10 May.

Alongside this public art piece, visitors can expect to see a cottage garden created using Australian natives, a play of light and dark blooms inspired by the sun and moon, and a dappled forest canopy covering Kannis Laneway – amongst many more botanical delights.

With world-class artists, immersive installations and a new illuminated experience, Subi Blooms x Gather 2026 is set to light up Subiaco like never before, transforming the City into one of Australia’s most spectacular celebrations of floral creativity.

Experience the magic this Mother’s Day weekend from 8 – 10 May. Learn more here.
